How can I contribute a translation or correct one?
Use the BetterDisplay localization repository to obtain the current language files and contribute corrections. You can help with a few strings or a whole language. You do not need programming experience.
Download the repository with Code > Download ZIP and find your language’s .xcloc package under BetterDisplay Localizations. Check the language’s existing contribution thread before starting, or request a template if your language is missing. Use the repository’s Glossary for established terminology.
Open the package in Xcode, or edit its XLIFF translation file with a compatible localization editor. Translate the target-language entries while preserving the English source, identifiers, placeholders and markup. Base the translation on the English source. Another translation can be a reference but may contain mistakes of its own.
Submit the updated package as a ZIP in the language’s contribution thread, or send a pull request if you use GitHub. When reporting an incorrect translation, include the English text, the current translation, your proposed wording and where it appears. Avoid a global replacement when grammar or context changes the right wording.
Incomplete languages may not appear in stable releases until enough of the translation is finished. Download a fresh template when returning to the work so that your changes cover current strings.

Language contribution threads provide the place to coordinate a language, request its template and submit a ZIP without making a pull request.
