Blend mode

A blend mode defines how the colors of two image layers are combined. For example, a multiply blend tends to darken the result, while a screen blend tends to lighten it. Here, “screen” names a mathematical blend operation rather than a physical display.

BetterDisplay's stream filters can blend an adjusted image with the original. Blend strength determines how much of that result is applied. This changes the presented image, rather than the source file or the monitor's hardware settings.
