LUT

A lookup table (LUT) maps input color values to output values. It can correct an image or give it a different creative appearance. A three-dimensional LUT considers combinations of three color components, so an output component can depend on all three inputs. Apple’s LUT definition

BetterDisplay imports custom LUT filters for supported display or stream-filtering paths. Importing the file makes the filter available; enabling it on a display or stream is a separate action.

The LUT's expected color space matters. The same numbers can produce different results when interpreted in different spaces, so a filter needs the interpretation it was designed for.

A LUT is not interchangeable with an ICC color profile. See Custom LUT Filters for importing and configuring filters.
