Saturation

Saturation describes how intense a color looks relative to a neutral gray appearance. Reducing it moves colors toward gray; increasing it emphasizes their color. This is different from brightness, which concerns lightness or output, and from hue, which describes the kind of color. EIZO's color-control reference

BetterDisplay can provide saturation through hardware controllers, software Image Adjustments and Video Filters. Choose the path according to what you want to affect: a monitor setting, the display's software-adjusted output or a filtered stream.

The numeric scales are not interchangeable. A stream filter's neutral saturation is 1.00, for example, rather than a percentage measurement of the physical monitor. Having a software effect also does not mean that DDC can provide an equivalent hardware control.
