Uniformity correction
Uniformity correction compensates for differences in brightness or color across a screen. Its aim is spatial consistency: a flat gray image should look more alike at the center and edges. Implementations vary; EIZO provides one vendor example. EIZO’s uniformity correction
BetterDisplay shows Uniformity Correction in Color Mode when the display system reports the control. The switch requests that system property. It does not measure the panel or create a new calibration, and the display system supplies the correction algorithm.
This is separate from dithering, which represents intermediate tones, or choosing a color profile. See Software XDR/HDR Upscaling and Dimming for the related brightness settings.
