Privileged helper

A privileged helper is a separate service that performs authorized operations requiring more system access than the ordinary app has. macOS can require administrator authorization or service approval before it runs such an operation.

BetterDisplay uses its helper for supported system-level tasks, including applying display overrides and resetting display configuration. Approval authorizes an operation; it does not guarantee that the requested mode or override will work on a particular display.
