How can I restore saved brightness levels on several monitors?
Create a macOS Shortcut containing a Set Brightness action for each display. Give each action its intended display and brightness value, then run the Shortcut whenever you want to restore that combination.
In Shortcuts, search for BetterDisplay and add Set Brightness. Repeat for the other displays, using an explicit display selection rather than a changing target such as the display under the pointer. Name the Shortcut for the setup, and optionally assign it a keyboard shortcut. BetterDisplay must be running with the required controllers available.
Keep Range includes software brightness upscaling consistent when choosing and restoring values. It is enabled by default and changes how the action's normalized range is interpreted. A percentage is not a measured luminance or a portable setting across different monitors. Use Image Adjustment instead when you need to specify a particular supported brightness method or another adjustment.
If your displays use brightness synchronization, review those rules before testing the preset. Changing one display may also change the others. Confirm the final level on every monitor after the complete Shortcut runs. Use a separate Shortcut for each combination you want to recall.
This restores requested adjustment values. It does not lock out later keyboard changes, save a complete color calibration or guarantee a particular measured brightness. For a calibrated workflow, keep the relevant controller, range, monitor picture mode and automatic-brightness settings consistent with those used during calibration.
See presets with Shortcuts for combining settings, macOS Shortcuts for action parameters and Synchronization Settings for interactions between displays.
For a preset that also changes gamma, contrast or color-channel adjustments, add a separate Image Adjustment action for each value you want to restore, with an explicit display and adjustment type. Make separate Shortcuts for working, evening or movie settings. These actions restore the values you specify. They do not save an ICC profile or measure color accuracy. Review the image-adjustment actions for their supported values and methods.
