Application

Application settings control how BetterDisplay fits into your daily use of the Mac. Choose whether it starts with you, how it checks for updates and how it uses notifications or the Dock.

Start with Startup and Privacy for launch behavior and privacy choices. Updates explains release channels and installation, while Notifications and Dock covers the app's visible presence. Integration controls access from other apps.

To automate display adjustments, explore BetterDisplay's actions in macOS Shortcuts. The link beneath the Integration settings opens the Shortcuts app, where you can search for BetterDisplay actions.

Advanced settings also let you import, export or reset preferences. Read the scope and consequences of those actions before using them, particularly when replacing an existing setup.
