Keyboard

Keyboard settings help a key press reach the right display and make a useful-sized adjustment. You can configure the Mac's brightness and volume keys, assign custom shortcuts and choose the feedback shown when a value changes.

Start with Native (Apple) Keyboard Control for the familiar media keys. Target Displays explains which display receives an adjustment, and Adjustment Steps controls how far one press changes the value.

Use Shortcuts for your own key combinations and OSD for the on-screen feedback. It helps to choose the target first, then tune the steps and feedback to suit the way you work.
